Malbec was born in the Cahors region of southwestern France, where it was known as Cot. Argentina found that ground in Mendoza, and the world took notice. But there is another high-altitude desert at the foot of a great mountain - the Ararat Valley of Armenia, at 4,500 to 6,000 feet above sea level. This is the only Malbec in the world grown in the shadow of Mount Ararat, naturally fermented with wild yeast that lives on the vineyard skins, with zero added sulfites and zero added sugar.
